With cooperation of the Division for the Blind of the Welfare Department, Everett Burkhead, totally blind resident of Marion, will rent a small business location and sell brooms, mats, wash cloths and other products manufactured, packaged, and sold by the blind.

A coon dog field trial is scheduled Sunday at the Ginavan place northeast of Marion. A large crowd of dogs and spectators is expected to be on hand. Field trials are fast becoming one of America’s top sports, it was stated.

The official search for the plane on which Capt. Julian Greer was lost in northern Washington, has been given up until the snow melts this spring.

As one of their yearly projects, Twentieth Century Club presented a record player to the kindergarten. This added equipment was much appreciated by Miss Gillig, teacher, and the kindergarten children.

Mrs. E.M. Dramer, the former Shirley Christensen, will leave Friday for Seattle and sail from there to join her husband in Japan. Major Dramer has been stationed at an air base near Tokyo in Japan since last May.

Dr. and Mrs. G.J. Goodsheller will leave Thursday for Natchez, Miss., where they will attend the annual pilgrimage through the lovely old homes and gardens in that area. The trip will continue through the Smoky Mountain country in several southern states.
