A number of neighbors of hospitalized George Nelson of the Canada neighborhood shelled his corn Thursday afternoon. Those participating included Wesley and Wilson Schwendiman, Wm. and John Olsen, Wm. and Eugene Christensen, Cornelius Klassen, and Marner Anderson. Mrs. Wm. Olsen, Mrs. Albert Ollenberger, and Mrs. Nelson served lunch to the men.
Dolores Srajer, Tampa, a sophomore at Kansas State College, passed chocolates at the Alpha Delta Pi sorority house Dec. 13 to announce her engagement to J. Ronald Scott of Larned.
Elaine Rogers, assisted by her mother, entertained a number of neighborhood children Monday afternoon in celebration of her fourth birthday. Those present were Janice Wygle, Steven and Janice Childs, Maurice and Connie Allen, Patsy Sue Plenert, Jeanie and Mary Christensen, Larry VanCleave, Susan Marler, Cheryl and Camille Wooldridge, and Jerry, Patsy and Sharon Nelson.
