The first in a 13-week series of Cash Days will be held in Marion this coming Wednesday, with cash prizes to be offered to five lucky people at 2:30 in the afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. E.F. Schroer, who have operated the popular Cozy Café for several years, sold their business this week to Archie Marler, who took charge Wednesday.

Three Marion County men will be on a discussion panel next Monday noon over KTVH. Dr. R. R. Melton, Marion physician, Dr. W.M. Thies, Hillsboro veterinarian, and John Sloup, county agent, will discuss brucellosis and undulant fever, their causes and effects.

The whole upstairs of the county jail, the sheriff’s residence, has been redecorated and presents a much brighter, cleaner appearance. The painting has been done by “guests” in the jail.

Mr. and Mrs. Martin L. Pecinovsky, Tampa, are the parents of a boy, born March 26 at St. Luke Hospital. They have named him Frankie Mark.

Caroline Merrill, Neva Stenzel, Marion Summervill and Warren Gardner accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Swanson to Wichita Monday evening for the Wichita Symphony concert. Mr. Swanson plays bass horn in the symphony.
