A brand new, fully stocked Western Auto Store opened in Marion Wednesday It is owned and operated by E.F. “Brownie” Schroer.

James Meisner, Cub Scoutmaster, announces the annual “Backyard Camp” of Marion Cub Scout Pack 102 will be June 25-26. Camps will be in the backyards of John Just, Leslie Broadstreet, R.W. Varenhorst, and E.K. Schroeder.

Edward W. Colburn, Marion attorney, filed this week for the office of probate judge. Colburn, son of Mrs. Braden C. Johnston, has been practicing law here in the firm of Johnston & Colburn. He is a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Law.

Sunday is Father’s Day, so why not treat him to a great movie “The Glen Miller Story,” starring James Stewart and June Allyson, starting Sunday at the Kaw Theatre. Also—remember every Monday after June 21 is CASH NIGHT.
