Marion High School’s 1954 Homecoming Queen is Ann Davies, senior, talented and popular daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Davies. Her attendants were Rose Marie Holub, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Holub and Anita Kline, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Kline

Marion Boy Scouts were doing another important and helpful job last week when they did the stuffing and mailing of 3,000 Christmas Seal letters for the Marion County Tuberculosis Society chapter. Scouts were Jerry Schwemmer, Stephen Seaton, Larry Evans, Leslie Johnston and Bill Good.

Nodie Baker completed the new paint job on the exterior of the Christian Church last week. This is another fine improvement to the appearance of our city. The entire job of painting was done by Mr. Baker.

Jean Morse asked a number of friends to come to her birthday party Saturday afternoon. Invited guests included Mary Melton, Sidney Hume, Betty Jean Tipton, Rose Marie Loveless, Mary Stevens, Jo Ellen Atherton, Helen and Charlotte Langley, Helen Olsen, Judy Richards, Evelyn Hedrick, Anita Schlehuber and Virginia Dody.

Marion High School music department will present its annual winter concert Dec. 3. The mixed chorus and girls and boys glee clubs will sing and a short opera will be presented by Neva Stenzel, Judy Coons, and Judy Thatch.
