A notice has been received by the city commission from Samuel Thole, owner of the land on which the present city dump is located, asking the city to discontinue using the site for trash dumping and that it be filled and covered before abandonment.

A two million dollar technical high school in Kwangju City, Korea, dedicated to the memory of Chaplain Capt. Emil J. Kapaun, will be completed late this spring and will stand as a living memorial to the young army chaplain who died in 1951 at a North Korea prisoner of war camp.

Perhaps the most outstanding characteristic of the modern new home of Mr. and Mrs. B.C. Swain at 307 North Roosevelt, is the fact that it is completely fireproof. The home is fireproof due to the fact that it is all masonry construction, with wood used in only a couple of the doors.
