Final revised architect plans for the new Marion High School gymnasium and vocational agriculture building are here. The site has not been definitely decided, but in all probability it will be located south of the high school, or between the high school and grade school.

Work on refinishing and remodeling the Jackson Clothing store, that was badly damaged by fire May 29, is progressing rapidly.

A party at the home of Mr and Mrs. Abe Reh Sunday afternoon celebrated the fifth birthday of Mary Sue Reh. The guest list included Sylvia and Chrissie Herbert, Janet Stiller, Tommie Good, Carol Sue Conyers, Margaret McClain, Louise, Irene, and Delphine Ford, Dickie Wayne Varenhorst, and Jimmie Keazer.

Asphalt tiling blocks, in three attractive colors, have been laid on the floors at the Marion Pharmacy during the past week.

An estimated 500 Marion County children will take a two- week swimming course under Red Cross instruction this summer. Three pools in nearby cities, Herington, Newton and El Dorado, are cooperating in giving the lessons.
