Following a long session Monday evening, the school board decided upon a location for the new gymnasium and vocational agriculture building soon to be built. It will face east in the first block of South Lincoln Street, south of the Phil Stenzel home and on school property, including the play ground and parking lot.

Another unusual case was crossed off the sheriff’s books last week when a stolen Marion County tractor owned by Kenneth Richter of near Aulne was located near Hoxie, Kansas, over 275 miles northwest of here.

The cross-country tractor ride was made by a 24-year-old escapee from the state prison at Lansing.

Two Marion boys, Jon Barrett and Ralph Dohner, will leave by C-54 from Wichita Sunday to go to Topeka where they will attend a two weeks training camp at Forbes Air Base sponsored by the Civil Air Patrol.

Showing Sunday and Monday at the Kaw Theatre will be “Little Women” starring June Allyson, Peter Lawford, Margaret O’Brien, Elizabeth Taylor, and Janet Leigh.
