A huge day-long attendance of interested persons, estimated at near 2,000, visited the newly refinished showroom and auto agency building of the Paul Seifert Motor Company Saturday.

A committee of the Chamber of Commerce has formulated plans for the annual Marion Spring Merchandise Show. They have decided to have the affair this year on March 23 and 24.

Two of Marion County’s polio victims, 9-year-old Nadine Tiemeier, Lincolnville, and Mary Ann Bina, 12, Ramona, and Marion blind boy Everett Burkhead, will receive the first three Al Jolson records to be given away Feb. 28 at the Kaw Theatre when the film, “Jolson Sings Again,” will be shown.

Mrs. Arnold Schwemmer entertained with a party last Thursday to celebrate the 5th birthday of her son, Michael.

Guests were Patty Jo and Michael Ireland, Frances Marie Hunt, Larry, Gary, and Harry Winters, Gailen Broadstreet, Gary Schwemmer, Mrs. Herb Winters, Mrs. E.M. Ireland, Mrs. Al Hunt, and Mrs. Leslie Broadstreet.
