Marion Chamber of Commerce and the housing committee of Marion Economic Development Inc. have created a home-repair program, “Spruce Up Marion.”

The program provides minor home repairs to low-income, elderly, or disabled Marion homeowners.

Applicants must meet income guidelines.

The purpose of the program is to improve the health and safety of residents.

Two projects have been completed to date. A tree was trimmed, windows washed, and leaves were raked and hauled.

The group is working with local groups to complete community service projects. Volunteers are needed to help with projects.
