MORE

A two-way street

To the editor:

“Refusing to tolerate intolerance” is a two-way street.

About last week’s opinion piece, the paragraph expressing the opinion’s real content threatens a passive-aggressive censorship; not to mention the admitted eavesdropping that precipitated it.

I understand all major news networks received similar warnings about reporting on a specific democratic candidate.

This is a polite way to shame people. Shaming, blaming, and creating fears, shoving people into submission is straight out of every socialist playbook. We’re moving beyond the name-calling you propose here. No more shaming. That’s a sad way to make a living.

I’m praying you take a course on the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, and re-think the real intention of this opinion. We are not the United States of Socialism (quoting a current non-fiction book title), YET.
