2000 block of Sunflower Road near 210th
Kevin Lee Weigart, 26, 211 E. Grand, Hillsboro, was driving a 1999 Ford F150 south on Sunflower Road at 10:01 p.m. Oct. 29, when he jumped the truck off railroad tracks, lost control, and rolled in to a west ditch. Kristina, 30, Miranda, 11, and Kailey Steiner, 5, 126 W. Santa Fe St., Marion, were passengers.
Miranda and Kailey were transported to St. Luke Hospital by Marion County EMS with possible injuries.
U.S. 50 near 110th Road
Dennis Rottinghaus, 44, Wichita, was driving east on U.S. 50 at 8:20 a.m. Oct. 30 in a 2009 Honda van, when a deer came out of a south ditch and was struck and killed. Brice, 45, and Char DeSmith Foth, 47, Newton; and Andrea, 37, Preston, 7, and Christian Rottinghaus, 5, Wichita, where passengers in the van.
Milepost 289 U.S. 50 near Nighthawk Road
Sarah A. Kallansrud, 49, 206 N. Spruce, Peabody, was driving a 1999 Ford Taurus east on U.S. 50 at 7:55 p.m. Oct. 30, when a deer ran in front of the car and was struck. Upon impact the deer went through the windshield of the vehicle.
Passenger Joslyn K. Kallansrud, 19, 210 N. Spruce St., Peabody, was transported to Newton Medical Center by Marion County EMS with possible injuries.
