The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:
100 block of East Main Street, Marion
A parked vehicle was struck when a 2003 Freightliner cargo van, driven by Colleen Ray Toburen, 53, Salina, turned into a parking stall, and the rear driver’s side struck the front passenger side of a 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe, registered to Donald A. Kraus, 2542 220th Road, Marion. The van was registered to Federal Express Corporation of Salina.
There were no injuries reported.
K-15 near 290th Road
Morgan Leigh Knott, 23, Hesston, was southbound on K-15 near 290th Road in a 2005 Ford Focus at 9:03 p.m. June 8, when a deer ran on the highway and was struck.
The driver had possible injuries but was not transported by emergency medical services.
900 block of 90th Road near U.S. 77
A 1997 Chevrolet S-10 pickup caught on fire at 5 p.m. June 11, while Sarah Katharin Smith, 24, Cedar Point, was driving it eastbound on 90th Road.
No injuries were reported.
U.S. 50 near Sunflower Road
A deer was struck and killed on U.S. 50 near Sunflower Road at 9:04 p.m. June 11, when Kimberlee E. Hulra, 19, Topeka, was westbound in a 1999 Saturn passenger car and the deer ran into the path of the vehicle.
The driver was not injured.
1200 block 190th Road near Kanza
Jason Mark Plett, 38, 410 S. Washington St., Hillsboro, was westbound in the 1200 block of 190th Road near Kanza in a Chevrolet pickup at 8:18 p.m. June 12, when the vehicle left the road, entering a north ditch, jumping a culvert, and coming to rest in a field.
There were no injuries.
