Randy Dallke, 58, 504 E. 9th St., Peabody, struck a deer while he was driving south on Nighthawk Road at 7:40 p.m. Dec. 8. He was driving a 2010 Ford pickup truck registered to Gelco Corporation, 20 W. Main St., Herington.

U.S. 77 south of 140th Road

Lawrence Menard, 57, 1727 Little Kitten Ave., Manhattan, struck a deer while he was driving north on U.S. 77 at 6:27 p.m. Thursday. He was driving his 2006 Ford van.

170th Road west of Bluestem Road

Nancy Tharp, 53, 1649 Bluestem Road, Marion, struck a calf while she was driving on 170th Road at 6:20 p.m. Nov. 7. She was driving her 2007 Lincoln sport utility vehicle.

U.S. 56 west of Mustang Road

Derek Fields, 17, 494 Road 210, Emporia, was driving west on U.S. 56 when a tire came off of the stock trailer his 2002 Dodge pickup truck was pulling at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 4. The tire struck the front driver’s side fender of James Selves, 84, 809 E. First St., Cottonwood Falls, who was driving his 1996 Buick passenger car. There were no injuries reported.

290th Road east of Mustang Road

Daniel Stuchlik, 34, 1578 270th Road, Marion, struck a deer while he was driving west on 290th Road at 6 p.m. Dec. 4. He was driving his 2001 Ford truck.

U.S. 56 east of Cedar Street, Marion

Gene Barney, 50, 3165 Limestone, Tampa, struck a deer while he was driving west on U.S. 56 at 7 p.m. Dec. 3. He was driving his 1998 Chevrolet truck.

150th Road west of Holly Road

Paula Jost, 49, 1653 Falcon Road, Hillsboro, struck a deer while she was driving east on 150th Road at 5 a.m. Dec. 8. She was driving her 1998 Mercury passenger car.

1800 block of Holly Road

Jacob Craney, 20, 500 E. 13th St., Ellis, lost control of his 2001 Dodge truck driving south on Holly Road at 5:35 p.m. Dec. 5. He entered the east ditch of the road, over corrected, went into the west ditch, and flipped his vehicle. Craney was transported by Marion County EMS to Hillsboro Community Hospital by 6:03 p.m.

290th Road east of Remington Road

Leonard Bina, 66, 2752 Yarrow Road, Lincolnville, struck a deer while he was driving east on 290th Road at 5:58 p.m. Nov. 28. He was driving his 2004 Chevrolet truck.

U.S. 56 east of Goldenrod Road

Alan Kreutzer, 33, 706 Avenue C, Hutchinson, struck a fence post after hydroplaning on U.S. 56 at 7:30 a.m. Dec. 3. Kreutzer was uninjured. He was driving his 2005 Chrysler passenger car.

1000 block of 140th Road west of Jade

Terryl Friessen, 51, 6105 Windsong Drive, Arlington, Texas, was driving east bound on 140th when he struck a deer at 5:10 p.m. Dec. 4. Charles Loewen, 59, 1326 Kanza Road, Hillsboro, struck the same deer while driving west on 140th. Neither driver was injured. Sarah Friessen, 14, a passenger with Friessen, same address, was also uninjured. Terryl Friessen was driving his 2006 Chevrolet truck. Loewen was driving his 2007 Chevrolet truck.

East First Street and North Washington Street, Hillsboro

Merlin Funk, 48, 115 N. Lincoln St., Hillsboro, was driving east on First Street crossing Washington Street when he struck a 1992 Toyota pickup driven by Grant Myers, 28, 205 S. Washington, Hillsboro. There were no injuries reported from the accident. Funk was driving his 1979 Ford pickup truck. Myers’ truck was registered to Stacie Myers, same address.
