Accidents

Motor vehicle accident reports released Friday by the Marion County sheriff’s office:

360th Road east of U.S. 77

While attempting to stop, Janet A. Nesser, 58, of Florence lost control and fish-tailed a 2008 Chevy Cobalt owned by Prairie View Inc. of Newton into a culvert and two markers at 12:05 p.m. July 24. Paige Madron, 6, of Ramona was a passenger.

U.S. 50 west of Nighthawk Road

Two out-of-state semis brushed against one another as they attempted to merge at the end of a passing lane at 9:25 a.m. July 27.

A trailer pulled by a 2007 Peterbilt driven by Jeffrey Randal Durbin, 64, of Auberry, Calif., clipped the passenger mirror of 2006 Kenworth driven by John W. Knight, 48, of Hollywood, Fla.

Knight Transportation Inc. of Noblesville, Ind., owns the Peterbilt. Delta Tranz LLC of Wyoming, Mich., owns the Kenworth.

90th Road east of Alamo Road

Duke W. Fattig, 46, of Moundridge drove his 2005 Chevy Aveo onto the right shoulder, jerked it back in the left ditch, hit an embankment, and ended up in a stubble field at 9:45 a.m. July 30.

Elnora Ellen Fattig, 71, also of Moundridge, was a passenger. Although injuries were reported, no ambulance was required.

Bison Road south of 340th Road

Zachary Nathaniel Rogge, 22, of Tampa hit a deer with a 1998 Subaru Outback owned by Galen E. Crum of Tampa at 1 p.m. July 31.

Intersection of Ash and Third streets, Hillsboro

Cory McBeth, 35, 712 Cottonwood Lane, Newton, rear ended Jeffrey Pritchard, 16, 608 East A Street, Hillsboro, when Pritchard was stopped on Third Street at the intersection with Ash Street at 12:50 p.m. on Saturday. No injuries were reported as a result of the accident. McBeth was driving his 1995 Buick passenger car. Pritchard was driving his 1997 Plymouth van.
