The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:

400 Block of North Main Street, Hillsboro:

Mark E. Slater, 44, 233 W. Sixth, Florence, was backing into a parking stall in a 2004 International Truck at 2:35 p.m. Feb. 26, in a parking lot in 400 block of North Main Street, Hillsboro, and struck an electric meter. The meter was owned by the City of Hillsboro, 118 E. Grand Avenue, Hillsboro. The truck was registered to Hiland Dairy Foods Co., LLC of Oklahoma City, Okla. Assistant Hillsboro Police Chief Jessey Hiebert reported there were no injuries. No damage estimate was indicated since the accident occurred on private property.

Main and A streets, Hillsboro:

Betty E. Sechler, 81, Canton, was turning left from Main Street onto A Street in a 1999 Mercury passenger car at 1:15 p.m. March 3, and struck the rear of a 2007 Ford F-150 pickup truck that was parked next to A Street. The truck was registered to Hillsboro Ford, 202 S. Main, Hillsboro. Assistant Police Chief Hiebert reported there were no injuries and more than $1,000 in damages.
