Indigo Road north of 790th Road

Eveleo Newton, 50, 321 S. Coble St., Marion, was driving south on Indigo Road when he said he fell asleep to find his car in the west ditch of the road at 10 a.m. May 30. He said he over corrected when he tried to reenter the road way, slid sideways back into the ditch, and flipped his 1998 Chevrolet pickup truck onto its top. No injuries were reported as a result of the accident.

U.S. 56, milepost 288

Terry Pierce, 38, 404 S. Birch St., Hillsboro, was driving east on U.S. 56 when he lost control of his 2004 Dodge passenger car on the rain slicked road, entered a south ditch, and hit a post at 6:50 p.m. May 30. No injuries were reported as a result of the accident.

1000 block of Nighthawk Road

Glenn Yoder, 61, 301 N. Vine St., Peabody, was driving north on Nighthawk Road when he lost control of his vehicle, entered the east ditch, and rolled the vehicle on to its top at 2 p.m. May 22. Yoder was treated for bruises and cuts by Peabody ambulance but refused transport to a hospital. Yoder was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol after failing a breath and passive alcohol sensor test. His blood alcohol level was reported at .214, the legal limit is .08. Yoder was driving his 1995 Ford pickup truck, which was pulling a camper trailer.

100 block of West Third Street, Hillsboro

David Buller, 26, 305 N. Ash St., Hillsboro, attempted to turn left on Third Street and struck Roderick Koons, 48, 318 N. Adams Street, Hillsboro, who was eastbound on Third Street at 9:24 p.m. May 24. Koons was transported by ambulance to Hillsboro Community Hospital by 9:53 p.m. Buller failed a breath test for alcohol at the scene. Buller was driving his 1988 Buick passenger car. Koons was driving a 2005 motor scooter registered to Rod’s Tire and Service, 401 Orchard Dr., Hillsboro.
