Jeanelle Lynette Coates, 52, of 104 N. 2nd St., Walton, lost control of her 2006 Nissan pickup on an icy road, went into a ditch, and rolled the vehicle at 5:33 a.m. Dec. 20. Coates had a possible injury and was taken by Hillsboro ambulance to Hillsboro Community Hospital. The vehicle had to be towed.

190th Rd. west of Remington Rd.

Cassandra Linn McPhail, 18, of 604 Sherman St., Marion, lost control of a 2001 Pontiac sedan registered to Sheila Kathleen Thouvenell, same address, on an icy road and went into a ditch at 5:45 a.m. Dec. 20. No injuries were reported. The vehicle had to be towed.

Darcy Allen Pease, 26, of 811 N. Plum St., Peabody, lost control of his 1998 Dodge pickup on an icy road, went into a ditch, and rolled the vehicle onto its side at 6:20 a.m. Dec. 20. No injuries were reported. The vehicle had to be towed.

Mary Jean Rogers, 55, of 121 N. Freeborn St., Marion, lost control of her 2008 Chevrolet sedan on an icy road and went into a ditch at 7 a.m. Dec. 20. No injuries were reported. The vehicle had to be towed.

Ginger L. Whitney, 51, of 209 N. Sycamore St., Peabody, lost control of her 2001 Suzuki sport utility vehicle on an icy road, went into a ditch, and struck a utility pole, owned by Flint Hills Rural Electrical Cooperative, which caught fire, at 7:45 a.m. Dec. 20. No injuries were reported. The vehicle had to be towed.

Custer C. Friesen, 21, of 227 Sweezy St., Halstead, lost control of a 2000 Ford pickup registered to Gregg C. Friesen, same address, on an icy road, spun, and went into a ditch at 7:50 a.m. Dec. 20. No injuries were reported. The vehicle had to be towed.

Michael Robert Porter, 25, 220 Franklynn St., Herington, lost control of his 2010 Ford pickup on an icy road, went into a ditch, and rolled the vehicle at 9:40 a.m. Dec. 20. No injuries were reported. The vehicle had to be towed.

Kimberly Marie Anderson, 23, of 529 S. Roosevelt St., Marion, lost control of her 2000 Dodge on an icy road, went into a ditch, and rolled the vehicle at 2:45 p.m. Dec. 21. Anderson had a possible injury and was taken by Marion ambulance to St. Luke Hospital. The vehicle had to be towed.

James W. Davis, 66, of 122 S. Lincoln St., Marion, lost control of his 1998 Ford pickup on an icy road, went into a ditch, and rolled the vehicle at 12:50 p.m. Dec. 23. No injuries were reported. The vehicle had to be towed.

290th and Timber Rds.

Cadan Lee Bernhardt, 16, of 2121 Alamo Rd., Lehigh, driving a 1993 Ford pickup registered to Sam I. Bernhardt, 412 N. Roosevelt St., Marion, and Trenton Michael Miller, 16, of 2274 350th Rd., Lost Springs, driving a 1998 Chevrolet pickup registered to George Miller, same address, collided at 12:30 p.m. Dec. 24. Bernhardt was injured and trapped and was taken by ambulance to St. Luke. A passenger in Bernhardt’s vehicle, Tosha Love, 14, 506 Wichita St., Lincolnville, was injured and was taken by ambulance to St. Luke. Both vehicles had to be towed.

Jayden Brian Miller, 18, 312 N. Poplar St., Peabody, lost control of a 2002 Ford pickup registered to John Miller, same address, on an icy road, went into a ditch, and rolled the vehicle onto its side before it righted itself at 10:30 p.m. Dec. 24. No injuries were reported.

Deer strikes

Shane Marshall Duerksen, 38, 2126 Diamond Rd., Hillsboro, struck and killed a deer with a 2013 Chevrolet pickup registered to Professional Cleaning System, 104 Case St., Lehigh, at 7:20 p.m. Dec. 19. No injuries were reported.

Elizabeth Marie Hiebert, 33, 620 E. Main St., Florence, struck and killed a deer with a 1997 Chevrolet pickup registered to William Brian Clay, 127 W. 7th St., Florence, at 5:31 p.m. Thursday on U.S. 50 west of Alfalfa Rd. Hiebert was injured and four child passengers, all same address, had possible injuries. All were taken by ambulance to St. Luke. The vehicle had to be towed.
