According to accident reports released Friday:

SHERIFF

Kanza Rd. between 180th and 190th Rds.

Korey Linder, 20, of Marion, was driving a 2002 Ford Ranger north on Kanza Rd. at 11:10 a.m. on Sept. 10 when he reportedly observed a peacock in his lane. Deputy Wilma Mueller reported Linder crossed the road while making an evasive maneuver, entered the west ditch, and struck a tree. The vehicle rolled and came to rest on its top. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Upland Rd. between 170th and 180th Rds.

Ralph Hurtig, 63, of St. Joseph, Missouri, was driving a 2002 Dodge Caravan northbound on Upland Rd. at 9:27 a.m. on Sept. 1 when the vehicle crossed the center line and entered the west ditch, striking a concrete culvert. According to Deputy Mueller, the van continued on and came to rest in the west ditch. The vehicle, owned by Patricia Duncan, of St. Joseph, Missouri, was towed from the scene.

190th Rd. near Mustang Rd.

A 2000 Chevrolet Impala driven by Darla Gore, 23, of Marion, was eastbound on 190th Rd. at 6:57 a.m. Thursday when the car started to hydroplane on the wet road and left the road to the right. Deputy Derek Fetrow reported that Gore overcorrected, crossed the center line, then left the road again, overturning in the south ditch. Gore was taken to Hillsboro Community Hospital by Hillsboro ambulance. Fetrow reported the vehicle was destroyed.
