According to law enforcement reports released this week:

SHERIFF

US-56 west of Old Mill Rd.

A westbound semi failed to stop after sideswiping an eastbound 2013 Kia Soul driven by Nichole Potocnik, 26, Hillsboro, at 7:32 a.m. Feb. 16.

Three-year-old Drewyn Potocnik of the same address was a passenger in the car, owned by John Darnall of Florence.

Undersheriff David Huntley’s report said Nichole Potocnik might have been injured but provided no indication an ambulance was called.

US-56 west of K-15

Rita Beisel, 67, Hillsboro, struck and killed a deer with 2008 Ford Escape at 10:10 p.m. Feb. 18.

Sunflower Rd. south of 170th Rd.

Mark Vinduska, 30, Marion, struck and killed a deer with his 2005 Ford F-150 at 1:05 a.m. Feb. 19. Madison Vinduska, 21, of the same address was a passenger in the pickup.
