These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

US-77 at 50th Rd.

Dale A. Simmons, 65, Beatrice, Nebraska, hit a deer at 12:01 a.m. Aug. 14 with a 2020 Hyundai Accent owned by EAN Holidings of Eufaula, Alabama.

Simmons did not report the accident until nearly 10½ hours later.

K-15 north of 180th Rd.

Daryl L. Revier, 42, Canton, reportedly was injured but not taken to a hospital when he hit a deer at 9:10 p.m. Aug. 13 with his 2017 Kia Optima.

The car sustained damage to both sides, its windshield, and undercarriage and was towed.

Main St. south of 4th St. in Florence

Two vehicles backing out of parking spaces near Fuzzy’s Place tavern collided at 9:50 p.m. Thursday.

Nicolas D. Toupin, 42, Florence, had been leaving in his 2014 Toyota Tacoma when Kenneth D, Nienstedt, 84, rural Marion, was backing to reposition his 2006 Chrysler Town and Country in a closer parking spot.

The Toyota’s left rear and the Chrysler’s right rear collided.

Deputy Kaylan Miles blamed improper backing by Nienstedt, but no tickets were issued.
