These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

Indigo Rd. north of 160th Rd.

Teagan M. Decker, 19, Abilene, hit a deer at 8:01 p.m. Nov. 6 while transporting patient Ruby Siebert, 88, Hillsboro, in a Marion County ambulance. Ambulance attendant Mickey L. Price, 39, Newton, also was onboard. The ambulance sustained damage characterized as minor.

4th and Elm Sts., Peabody

While stopped waiting for a vehicle to back out of a parking space at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 9, a 2016 Cadillac Escalade owned and driven by Sydnie L. Graham, 27, Severy, was hit by a second backing vehicle, a 2007 Dodge Caravan, owned and driven by Catherine R. Demel, 33, Peabody.

Both vehicles were damaged but able to be driven. Deputy Kaylan Miles’s report attributed the accident to inattentive driving by Demel, but no tickets were issued.

Remington Rd. south of 260th Rd.

Jennifer E. Hett, 45, rural Lincolnville, hit a deer at 6:41 p.m. Nov. 9 with her 2019 Toyota Highlander. The sport utility vehicle sustained damage to the driver’s front but remained functional.

Indigo Rd. north of 140th Rd.

Amber R. Litton, 38, Peabody, hit a deer at 5:46 a.m. Nov. 11 with her 2004 Toyota Four Runner, which sustained disabling damage to its front, hood, and undercarriage and was towed.

K-15 south of 280th Rd.

Kelcey K. Church, 47, rural Canton, hit a deer at 6:41 p.m. Nov. 13 with his 2003 Ford F-250, which sustained damage termed minor. Natalie Church, 13, of the same address was a passenger at the time.

US-56 east of Nighthawk Rd.

County engineer Brice Goebel, 54, Marion, hit a deer at 7:48 p.m. Nov. 13 with his personal vehicle, a 2015 Dodge Durango, which sustained damage described as minor.

120th Rd. east of Chisholm Trail Rd.

Michael W. Jay, 46, rural Hillsboro, hit a deer at 7:55 p.m. Nov. 16 with his 2004 Ford Expedition, which sustained damage characterized as minor. Emery Jay, 8, of the same address was a passenger at the time.

HILLSBORO

Ash and D Sts.

Damage described as minor was done at 6:37 p.m. Nov. 16 when a northbound car turning east clipped the rear of an eastbound car that rolled through a four-way stop sign.

Hayleigh M. Mendoza, 22, rural Marion, reported that she had stopped her 2018 Chevrolet Cruise, signaled a right turn, and begun to turn when Bailee N. Gawith, 16, Hillsboro, coming from Mendoza’s left, rolled through a stop sign in her 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The front of the Chevy hit the rear of the Jeep. Gawith drove off but later was located by police after an officer examined video surveillance of the intersection.

Both drivers were ticketed for failing to yield.

300 block of S. Adams St.

While leaving to perform a nightly check of the Tabor College campus at 12:01 a.m. Thursday, Laura K. Savage, 19, rural Florence, backed her 2002 Ford Explorer from a diagonal parking space into a 2012 Chrysler 300 legally parked across the street.

The Ford was not damaged, but minor damage was done to the driver’s door of the Chrysler, owned by Hillsboro economic development director Anthony M. Roy.

No tickets were issued.
