These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

Alamo Rd. north of 210th Rd.

Austin L. Jost, 38, rural Lehigh, lost control of his 2012 Dodge Ram 2500 at 1:45 p.m. Dec. 3 after it drifted off the road to the left and struck a culvert.

Jost complained of possible injuries but was not taken to a hospital. His pickup sustained disabling damage to its front, right, hood, and windshield and was towed.

Deputy Kaylan Miles blamed the accident on inattentive driving, but no tickets were issued.

US-50/77 roundabout at Florence

David B. Knight, 46, Wichita, clipped the rear of a 2015 Hyundai Sonata with his 2023 Peterbilt semi-trailer truck at 2:10 p.m. Dec. 7 after leaving a roundabout yield sign prematurely, according Miles’s report.

The semi, owned by R+L Carriers of Wichita, sustained damage characterized as minor to its right front.

The Sonata, owned by Jeremy S. Hoover of Newton and driven by Jennifer K. Caywood, 53, of Hutchinson, sustained more extensive damage to its left rear but remained drivable.

Miles’s report blamed the accident on Knight’s failure to yield, but no tickets were issued.

US-77 north of 150th Rd.

Paul S. Molina, 47, Wichita, hit a deer at 6:51 p.m. Dec. 7 with his 2022 Ford Explorer, which remained drivable despite damage to its front, left, hood, and windshield.

Remington Rd. north of 210th Rd.

Melissa R. Stuchlik, 60, rural Lincolnville, hit a deer at 5:40 p.m. Dec. 8 with her 2016 Ford Focus, which sustained disabling damage to its front, sides, hood, and undercarriage and was towed.

K-15 south of 150th Rd.

Karma B. Kitto, 48, rural Goessel, hit a deer at 6 p.m. Dec. 8 with her 2005 Mitsubishi Gallant, which remained drivable despite damage to its front, hood, and undercarriage.

US-56 south of 230th Rd.

Nicole V. Delcastillo, 35, Lincolnville, hit a deer at 6:07 p.m. Dec. 10 with her 2015 Kia Optima, which sustained disabling damage to its front, right, and hood and was towed.

5th St. west of Walnut St., Peabody

Aden M. Nickel, 16, rural Hillsboro, backed a 1997 Chevrolet C1500 out of a driveway at 6:49 p.m. Dec. 11 and into a 2009 Chevrolet Impala legally parked across the street.

Leah M. Decker, 15, Peabody, was a passenger in the pickup, owned by Brian W. Nickel of the driver’s rural Hillsboro address.

The pickup was undamaged, according to deputy Aaron Slater’s report.

The parked car, owned by Trudy A. Watts, Peabody, sustained damage characterized as minor to its driver’s side door.

Slater’s report blamed the accident on inattentive driving, but no tickets were issued.

US-56 east of Cedar Rd.

John J. Lennebecker, 39, Florence, hit a deer at 5:50 a.m. Dec. 12 with his 2011 Chevrolet Camaro, which sustained damage characterized as minor to its right front, hood, and undercarriage.

Indigo Rd. north of 150th Rd.

Karl J. Sechrist, 55, Hillsboro, hit a deer at 6 a.m. Dec. 13 with his 2010 Chevrolet Traverse, which remained drivable despite damage to its front, right, and undercarriage.

MARION

Thorpe St. south of Lawrence St.

While leaving the Sports and Aquatic Center parking lot at 2:15 p.m. Saturday, Belladonna C. Toy, 18, Florence, drove her 2016 Kia Soul into the path of a 2017 Nissan Rogue owned and driven by Angela D. Kruse, 39, Junction City, according to assistant chief Steven Janzen’s report.

His report blamed the accident on Toy failing to yield, but no tickets were issued.

Damage to both vehicles — the left side of the Kia and the left front of the Nissan — was characterized as minor.

Barbara J. Davis, 62, Strong City, was a passenger in the Nissan at the time.
