ACCIDENTS
REPORTED
These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:
SHERIFF
Old Mill Rd. south of 40th Rd.
Coby M. Goosen, 21, Peabody, hit a deer at 10:34 p.m. Feb. 4 with his 2011 Ford F-2560, which remained drivable despite damage to its front and hood.
Indigo Rd. south of 150th Rd.
Gabriel B. Wilson, 18, Augusta, hit a deer at 7:35 p.m. Feb. 5 with his 2022 Nissan Kicks, which sustained disabling damage to its front, left, and hood and was towed.
US-56/77 north of 270th Rd.
Ashley B. Shandy, 24, Wichita, hit a deer at 7:29 p.m. Feb. 6 with a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox owned by David G. Shandy of the same address.
The vehicle sustained disabling damage to its front and undercarriage and was towed.
K-15 south of 300th Rd.
Amber D. Peterson, 48, Tampa, hit a deer at 7:10 a.m. Feb. 7 with her 2017 GMC Terrain, which remained drivable with damage to its front, left, and hood.
MARION
Main and Roosevelt Sts.
Richard O’Connor, 83, Marion, slid his 2005 Ford F-150 pickup through a stop sign on wet streets at 6:40 a.m. Tuesday and into the left rear of a 2017 Ford F-150 owned and driven by Lori L. McLinden, 51, rural Marion.
Both pickups remained drivable. Interim police chief Duane McCarty’s report blamed the accident on loss of braking in O’Connor’s pickup. No tickets were issued.
