These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

HIGHWAY PATROL

US-50 near Alfalfa Rd.

Mallory A. Seirer, 19, Newton, was seriously injured at 3:01 p.m. Friday when she swerved to avoid another vehicle while passing and lost control of her 2005 Nissan Maxima.

Her westbound car struck a 2024 Freightliner semi she was attempting to pass and crashed into the highway’s south ditch.

She was taken by Marion ambulance to Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.

Semi driver David A. Williams, 52, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, did not appear to be injured. His semi bore Oklahoma plates; its trailer, Maine plates.

SHERIFF

K-15 south of 120th Rd.

Fellykatalina L. Gonzales, 29, Corpus Christi, Texas, hit a deer at 1:05 a.m. May 27. Her car sustained disabling damage to its front and hood and was towed.

Passengers included four Rivera children — Julius, 11; Rihanna, 10; Ria, 7; and Rudy, 6 — of the same Corpus Christi address and Crislida A. Gonzales, 54, of a different Corpus Christi address.

US-50 west of 80th Rd.

Duane B. Swafford, 68, Emporia, hit a deer at 9:10 a.m. May 28 with his 2012 Toyota Tacoma. The pickup sustained moderate damage to its left front and hood but remained drivable.

US-50 near Alfalfa Rd.

Gabriel A. Rhudy, 19, Topeka, hit a deer at 5:45 a.m. May 30 with his 2014 Scion TC. The car sustained disabling damage to it right front and hood and was towed.

60th Rd. west of Quail Creek Rd.

Jarrod D. Gaines, 47, Newton, hit a deer at 8:21 p.m. May 30 with a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox owned by Implement Services Co. Inc. of Blair, Nebraska.

The SUV sustained moderate damage to the left, front, right, hood, and windshield but remained drivable.
