ACCIDENTS
REPORTED
These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:
Sunrise Rd. south of 220th Rd.
Distracted by using a mobile phone at 9:05 a.m. Aug. 23, Megan M. Semer, 29, rural Marion, sideswiped a legally parked semi-trailer truck with her 2008 Cadillac Escalade, according to a report by deputy Bruce Burke.
No tickets were issued, but Semer’s SUV sustained disabling damage to its front, hood, undercarriage, and entire right side and was towed.
The semi, a 1998 Kenworth owned by Dalke Construction of Hillsboro, remained drivable despite damage the length of its left side and trailer.
Two-year-old Evie Semer of the same address was a passenger in the SUV.
