These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

Pawnee Rd. north of 250th Rd.

An unoccupied, legally parked 2023 GMC Sierra HD pickup owned by Tri-County Telephone Co. of Council Grove was side-swiped at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 5 by a hit-and-run driver, according to a report released Thursday.

120th Rd. east of Meridian Rd.

Overcorrection and inattentive driving were blamed for an injury accident at 5:10 p.m. Sept. 9 in which 15-year-old Jordyn T. Elliot of rural Moundridge drove a 2013 Mercedes C55 into a ditch.

Her high-performance coupe, owned by Jason S. Elliot of the same address, struck an embankment on 120th Rd., traveled across Meridian Rd., and flipped over, according to a deputy Kaylan Miles’s report, released Thursday.

The driver, whom Miles wrote was driving legally on a farm permit, was taken to McPherson Center for Health by a McPherson County ambulance.

The car, with extensive damage to all its body and undercarriage, was towed.

No tickets were issued.

150th Rd. west of Holly Rd.

Allyson N. Krehbiel, 35, Newton, hit a deer at 8 a.m. Sept. 13 with her 2016 Hyundai Sonata, which remained functional despite damage to its front and undercarriage.

HILLSBORO

3rd St. west of Adams St.

The left front of a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado C1500 pickup turning left too tightly onto 3rd St. at 10:55 p.m. Sept. 11 clipped the left front of a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu stopped at a stop sign on 3rd.

The Silerado, owned and driven by Trenton M. Miller, 26, of Marion, remained drivable despite damage to its left front.

The Malibu, driven by Tabor College basketball player Noah Q. Baumann, 20, of Firth, Nebraska, was drivable despite damage to its left front and hood.

Passengers in the car, owned by James Baumann of the same address, were identified as Grant L. Pagenhagan, 21, of Firth; Tabor baseball player Payton A. Tinkler, 22, of Wichita; and Tabor volleyball player Katie A. Lowery, 21, of Fayetteville, Georgia

Officer Duane McCarty’s report blamed the accident on inattentive driving by Baumann, but no tickets were issued.

A St. east of Ash St.

Craig L. Roble, 65, Hillsboro, backed his parallel-parked 1997 GMC Suburban into a 2022 Dodge Ram 2500 legally parked behind the GMC at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

Damage to the rear of Roble’s pickup and to the front of the Ram, owned by Bril-Logistics of Pompano Beach, Florida, was characterized as minor.

Officer Gary Slater’s report blamed the accident on inattentive driving, but no tickets were issued.

Ash St. south of A St.

Michael C. Fry, 64, Hillsboro, brushed the right side of his 2015 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup against the left side of a legally parked 1999 Ford F-250 pickup that he was driving past at 10:35 a.m. Saturday.

Damage to Fry’s pickup and to the Ford pickup, owned by Elizabeth I. Martin of rural Hillsboro, was termed minor.
