These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

50th and Pawnee Rds.

Maclain S. Crawford, 27, Wichita, was injured at 3:45 p.m. Sept. 27 when he failed to yield and drove his northbound 2017 Hyundai Elantra into a trailer being pulled by an eastbound 1981 White truck owned and driven by Rodney D. Entz, 73, rural Peabody, according to a report by deputy Kaylan Miles.

Crawford declined to be taken to a hospital. His Hyundai sustained extensive damage to its entire exterior and was towed after it was ran off the roadway.

Damage to the trailer was characterized as minor.

HILLSBORO

Adams St. north of C St.

A Hillsboro trash truck pulling out from a curb at 11:23 a.m. Sept. 25 brushed the side of a passing 2000 Chevrolet S10 owned and driven by Bradley K. Buller, 70, Hillsboro.

Assistant chief Randy Brazil’s report blamed the accident on inattentive driving by trash truck driver David J. Lockwood, 64, Hillsboro, but no tickets were issued.

Both vehicles remained drivable despite damage to the left front of the trash truck and the right front of the pickup.
