These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

120th Rd. east of Eagle Rd.

Billie J. Dore, 52, Walton, hit a deer at 8:25 p.m. Oct. 27 with her 2016 Dodge Durango, which deputy Peyton Heidebrecht’s report stated was destroyed by damage to its left front.

Sunflower Rd. north of 120th Rd.

Ciera D. Goodwin, 27, Peabody, hit a deer at 7:41 a.m. Oct. 31 with her 2019 Nissan Altima, which sustained damage characterized as minor to its passenger side door.

Kanza Rd. north of 160th Rd.

Aden M. Nickel, 17, rural Hillsboro, hit a deer at 7:24 p.m. Nov. 1 with his 2009 Ford Fusion, which remained drivable with damage to its right front.

Passengers in the Ford were Kayden D. Trimble, 16, Beloit, and Sage A. Mader, 13, and Shawn D. Mader, 14, of the same Hillsboro address.

K-150 east of Alfalfa Rd.

Antonio S. Salas, 41, Bulverde, Texas, hit a deer at 8:30 a.m. Nov. 2 with a 2023 Audi Q3 van owned by Ean Holdings of Tulsa.

The van sustained damage to its front third and undercarriage and was towed.

K-15 south of 160th Rd.

Taylor V. Landis, 27, Canton, hit a deer at 7:39 p.m. Nov. 2 with his 1995 Ford F-150, which remained drivable despite damage to its left front.

Nighthawk Rd. north of 150th Rd.

Michelle M. Mosiman, 50, rural Marion, hit a deer at 6:25 a.m. Nov. 3 with her 2022 Ford Bronco, which remained drivable despite damage to its front, hood, undercarriage, and left side.

US-77 south of Wagon Wheel Rd.

Jerred D. Snyder, 30, Wichita, hit a deer at 7:11 p.m. Nov. 3 while driving a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix owned by passenger Alexandria L. Barbour, 22, of the same address. Infant Denver Snyder of the same address also was a passenger.

The Pontiac sustained disabling damage to its front, hood, and left and was towed.

Sunflower Rd. near 130th Rd.

Roger A. Graham, 57, rural Whitewater, hit a deer at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 3 with his 2010 Dodge Caravan, which sustained damage described as minor to its left front.

US-77 south of 140th Rd.

Robert L. Schmidt, 85, Marion, hit a deer at 6:55 p.m. Nov. 4 with his 2003 Toyota Camry, which sustained disabling damage to its front, left, and hood and was towed.

Bonnie Schmidt, 82, of the same address was a passenger.

US-56 at Old Mill Rd.

Jonathan K. Simon, 31, Hutchinson, swerved his westbound 1999 Saturn SE into a north ditch at 5:19 p.m. Nov. 2 to avoid an unidentified vehicle turning left.

His car sustained disabling damage to its front third and undercarriage and was towed.

Deputy Bruce Burke’s report blamed the accident on inattentive driving by Simon, but no tickets were issued.

US-77 south of 140th Rd.

Thomas M. Hilbert, 38, McPherson, hit a deer at 8:26 p.m. Nov. 5 while driving a modified 2013 Chevrolet Silverado owned by Christopher L. Unruh of Galva.

Austin D. Beagel, 30, of a different McPherson address was a passenger in the pickup, which sustained damage described as minor to its left front.

HILLSBORO

Container Services parking lot

While trying to avoid a telephone utility box, Kristi Jo Darnell, 55, Florence, clipped the right front of her daughter’s already parked 2015 Dodge Durango while parking her 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander at 11:38 a.m. Nov. 8.

The left front bumper of Darnell’s Outlander struck the right front quarter panel and door of Hillsboro resident Nichole J. Potocnik’s Durango.

No tickets were reported to have been issued.

MARION

100 block of Eastmoor Dr.

In an accident that gives new meaning to the slogan “Rock the Vote,” an unoccupied 1997 GMC Sierra that driver Annora M. Goering of rural Marion had left in drive in a parking lot during voting at 2:33 p.m. Nov. 7 at Eastmoor United Methodist Church rolled across the street and into a cement wall at the home of Macquelyn K. Taylor.

Officer Peyton Heidebrecht’s report did not provide an estimate of damage. No tickets were listed as being issued.
