These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:
SHERIFF
US-56 east of Pawnee Rd.
David S. Smith, 32, McPherson, hit a deer at 2:10 p.m. Aug. 9 with his 2002 Chevrolet C2500, which remained drivable with damage to its front and entire left side, according to an accident report released Friday.
US-56/77 south of 210th Rd.
Tuesday L. Weisbeck, 21, Hillsboro, hit a deer at 9:39 p.m. Aug. 10 with a 2024 Toyota Camry owned by Lag Rentals of Garden City.
The car sustained damage to its undercarriage, hood, and right side and was towed.
Sunflower Rd. south of 180th Rd.
Andreas Vandever, 59, Marion, hit a deer at 6:20 a.m. Aug. 14 while driving Amie Jo Unruh, 44, of the same address in her 2018 Toyota Corolla.
Unruh’s car remained drivable with damage to its right front and hood.
HILLSBORO
A St. each of Main St.
A hit-and-run driver damaged the left rear of a legally parked 1996 Ford Ranger between noon and 5:30 p.m. Aug. 12.
The damaged pickup, owned by Michael N. Gardner of Hillsboro, remained drivable.
