MARION
US-56 and Industrial St.
A 15-year-old driving in violation of license restrictions failed to yield and drove his northbound pickup into the side of a westbound car at 11:50 a.m. Oct. 13, according to an accident report released Monday.
Billy J. Reynolds, 54, Lincolnville, reportedly was injured when his 2012 Honda Civic was hit broadside. He was checked by Marion ambulance attendants but declined to be taken to a hospital.
His Honda sustained disabling damage to its driver’s side, undercarriage, windshield, and windows and was towed.
The pickup, a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Kael R. Dameron and owned by Justin J. Dameron of the same Marion address, also was towed with disabling damage to its front third and undercarriage.
Sixteen-year-old Steven Janzen of Marion was a passenger.
Officer Kaylen Miles’ report said the pickup driver stopped but started up again without noticing the westbound car. The report said inattentive driving, rainy weather, and excessively tinted or obscured windows on the pickup contributed to the wreck.
No tickets were listed as being issued.
