REPORTED

These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

HIGHWAY PATROL

US-50 west of Union Rd.

A 51-year-old Missouri man with possible serious injuries was taken by Hillsboro ambulance to Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, after he lost control at 12:39 p.m. Monday of a pickup pulling camper while attempting to pass another pickup also pulling a camper.

Ronald J. Chlumsky of Hamilton, Missouri, was eastbound in a passing lane when his 2002 Ford F-250 drifted to the south and he lost control, sending the pickup and its 2018 Lark camper into the south ditch.

He had been attempting to pass another eastbound pickup — a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado pulling a 2022 Intelli-Core camper in the slower right lane. Driver David W. Hagstrom, 56, Rochester, Minnesota, suffered no apparent injuries.

However, Chlumsky’s passengers — Nikki R. Brooks, 52, and Ronin Chlumsky, 17, also of Hamilton, Missouri — complained of pain and also were taken to Wesley, though it is unclear whether Hillsboro ambulance transported them.

Peabody firefighters, sheriff’s deputies, Marion ambulance, and an ambulance supervisor all were dispatched to the accident, according to a report by Kansas Highway Patrol.

SHERIFF

US-50 west of Prairie Lawn Rd.

Pablo J. Quinonez, 40, Hutchinson, hit a deer at 7:03 a.m. April 13 with a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500, according to the only accident report released Friday by the sheriff’s department.

The truck, owned by Royers Tree Service of Hutchinson, sustained disabling damage to its front, hood, and undercarriage and was towed.
