These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

US-50 west of 110th Rd.

Jeremiah B. Jones, 19, Lawrence, hit a deer at 11:47 p.m. Aug. 22 with his 2024 Honda Civic, according to one of three accident reports released Friday by the sheriff’s office.

The car, owned by Brian J. Jones of the same address, remained drivable with damage to its right side and hood.

Sunflower Rd. north of 180th Rd.

Brittney N. Hiebert, 26, Marion, hit a deer at 6:35 a.m. Aug. 24 with her 2014 Toyota Camry.

Her car sustained disabling damage to its front third and undercarriage and was towed.

290th Rd. west of Indigo Rd.

Dana L. Wolford, 62, Durham, had to be extricated from a 1973 Chevrolet C60 truck after its right front tire dropped off the roadway at 3:46 p.m. Aug. 24, he overcorrected, water in a tank without baffles shifted, and the truck veered across the road and rolled onto its side in a soybean field.

Wolford was taken by Hillsboro ambulance to Ascension Via Christi St. Francis Hospital, Wichita. Tampa ambulance, Durham firefighters and first responders, and Hillsboro rescue squad members responded to the wreck.

The truck, owned by Kevin W. Winter of rural Hillsboro, was listed as being destroyed.

HILLSBORO

High school parking lot

Edward M. Fickles, 16, rural Hillsboro, hit an unoccupied, legally parked 2002 Chevrolet Impala while trying to park a 2001 Dodge Ram at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 24.

The left mirror and side of the Impala, owned by Kelly J. Bernhardt of rural Tampa, was damaged, as was the right front of the pickup, owned by Phoenix M. Fickles of the driver’s address.

Sonic Drive-In parking lot

Nicholas A. Lopez Gonzales, 38, Newton, hit a menu board while driving a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado out of a stall at 1:15 p.m. Aug. 24.

The pickup, owned by Nancy E. Gonzalez Rojo of the same address, was not damaged.

Brayan L. Lopez of Ponderosa, New Mexico, was a passenger at the time.
