Alice Posch

Alice Faye Posch, 71, of Spring Hill, passed away Jan. 27, 2011, at her home.

Mass of Christian Burial was 10:30 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Gardner. Burial followed at St. Columbia Catholic Cemetery, Gardner. Visitation was 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Bruce Funeral Home, Gardner, with a rosary recited at 6 p.m.

Alice was born Jan. 19, 1940, in Wichita, to Alfonse E. and Frances Elizabeth (Belton) Bosh. She graduated from high school in Lincolnville and attended Wichita Neman and Kansas State University.

Her first job was a bookkeeper for Lincolnville Elevator. Alice married Robert Michael Posch on June 10, 1967, in Pilsen. They moved to Wichita, and then the Olathe-Spring Hill area 25 years ago. She was a receptionist and bookkeeper for the bishop at the Cathedral in Wichita. She was a receptionist and bookkeeper for Adolescence Treatment for Children in Olathe, retiring in 2002 to care for her beloved grandchildren. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Altar Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James Bosh.

Survivors include her husband, Robert, of Spring Hill; two sons, Christopher of Lenexa and Jason and wife Gayla of Gardner, a daughter, Becky Butash and husband Brian of Gardner; and six grandchildren, Jacob, Tyler, Dylan, Madeline, Addisyn, and Jordyn.
