Andersons celebrate 65th

Forrest and Marie Anderson of Burdick celebrated their 65th anniversary the weekend of June 7 in Hermann, Mo.

Hosts were their daughter, Karen Korte and her husband, Gary, of Emporia, and their grandchildren Erik Korte and his wife, Sarah, of Louisville, Ky.; Ian Korte of Chicago and his friend, Alissa Walkner of Crystal Lake, Ill.; and Erin Hauser and her husband, Jayson, of Broken Arrow, Okla.

Forrest Anderson and Marie Tiemann were married on June 20, 1948, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Herington. The Rev. Arnold Roesener officiated.

Forrest retired after 59 years as a stockman and farmer. Marie was employed with the Federal Land Bank in Wichita and at Herington Municipal Hospital before becoming a full-time homemaker after their marriage.
