Angus ranch honored

Harms Plainview Ranch, Lincolnville, has been honored by the American Angus Association for being one of the largest Angus operations in the state.

The Lincolnville ranch ranked as ninth largest in the state in registering Angus beef cattle in fiscal 2022, which ended Sept. 30, the association said.

Mark and Kim Harms raise Black Angus, Red Angus, and Charolais seedstock.

Mark Harms is a founding member of U.S. Premium Beef, a producer-owned beef marketing company.

Angus breeders across the nation in 2022 registered 304,822 head of Angus cattle.
