Anna M. Yaussi

Anna M. Yaussi passed away Dec. 18 at her home. She was 88. Anna was born Aug. 20, 1924, in Leon, Iowa, to Claude and Edith Dickerson. Anna married Floyd R. Yaussi on Aug. 6, 1949, in Salina and moved to Marion. In 1961, the family moved to Longmont, Colo.

Anna attended Brown Mackie School of Business in Salina and was employed at the Salina YMCA, where she met her husband.

Anna was a secretary in the counselors office at Longmont Junior High/Sunset Middle School for over 25 years as well as an Avon representative for 40 years.

Anna was a member of the Life Bridge Christian Church and the Retired Secretaries of the St. Vrain Valley School District. She had many hobbies, enjoying painting, gardening and maintaining the friendships she treasured throughout her life. Anna very much loved spending time with her dog, Casey, her children and grandchildren, including five great-grandchildren, and was an avid Broncos fan.

Preceding her death were her husband, Floyd R. Yaussi; and two sisters, Rosemary Harris and Juanita Bybell.

She is survived by her two sisters, Mabel Brady and Claudine Taylor; six children, John A. Yaussi, Judy K. (Yaussi) Blankenship, Joni M. Yaussi, Jeri L. Yaussi, Jaci A. Yaussi Hontz, and James F. Yaussi; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Memorial services were to be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 28, at the Howe Mortuary Chapel in Longmont, Colo.
