Jim and Gail Assink of Marion will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary with a family celebration at Lynden, Wash.

Gail Spellman and Jim Assink were married Aug. 23, 1968, at Gypsum.

They lived in Lynden, Wash., before moving to Marion where Jim is an assessor for Marion County and Gail is a cook at St. Luke Living Center.

The couple has three children, Laura and Kevin TeVelde and Judy and Randy Small, all of Lynden, Wash., and Paul and Sharon Assink of Bellingham, Wash.
