County commissioners wasted no time Monday, spending a 10-minute executive session with newly hired appraiser Raymond Cook discussing contractual details.
Cook accepted an annual base salary of $55,000, with $1,500 raises in the second and third years. The fourth year will be negotiable.
In an otherwise uneventful meeting, commissioners signed off to accept a new set of bylaws written and voted on by the Local Emergency Planning Committee.
In other business:
- Commissioners approved the purchase of a $1,205 Lenovo ThinkPad and $1,545 worth of equipment for Emergency Manager Randy Frank. Other equipment included a camera, a camera battery charger, camera lenses, a backpack, and a swivel flash.
- The commission met in a closed session with County Clerk Tina Spencer for 10 minutes discussing non-elected personnel, then again later for 15 minutes discussing personnel. No action was taken from the sessions.
