An appreciation pool party and barbecue for Marion first responders is planned for 3 p.m. Sept. 3 at 1001 Tanglewood St.

Cards, gift cards or certificates, gift baskets, craft items, covered dishes and desserts are being sought.

Items can be picked up or dropped off, and should include a business or thank you card.
