Goessel Harvest Festival

Goessel’s Harvest Festival Saturday will celebrate the bounty of fall.

Come hungry because Goessel firefighters will serve a pancake breakfast fundraiser from 7 to 10 a.m. at the firehouse.

Bethesda Home will have Lincoln Park open from 7 to 11 a.m.

An 8 a.m., a 5k run/walk will begin on the southeast side of Goessel High School. Registration is by email to washmond@usd411.org. A $25 entrance fee is needed.

Vendors will display their wares at a neighborhood market at Goessel Church from 8 a.m. until noon.

A disc golf tournament at West Branch Park will be from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.

A one-mile family walk and run will start at 8:30 a.m. on the east side of the high school. Registration is by email to washmond@usd411.org. A $25 entrance fee is needed.

Goessel library will sponsor activities including a story walk, make-and-take crafts, and a mini pumpkin hunt from 9 a.m. until noon.

Museum activities will begin at 9 a.m. and last though 5 p.m. Included will be peppernut-making demonstrations and display of a vintage fire truck. Admission will be free.

A car show at the museum will be from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Bethesda Home will sponsor a pumpkin carving contest from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Carved pumpkins can be dropped off until 4 p.m. and then will be judged. Winners and prizes will be announced at 6:45 p.m. before the start of a 7 p.m. street dance on the east side of the high school.

Basketball enthusiasts will participate in a 3-on-3 tournament in the high school gymnasium from 10 a.m. until finished. Registration is by email to hoopesr@usd411.org. Registration is $10 a person.

Lunch will be available at Goessel Church and Goessel Grocery and Deli from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Kids can play in inflatables from noon to 4 p.m. east of Goessel Elementary School.

A car parade down Main St. will be at 1 p.m.

Goessel Recreation Commission will call bingo at 1 p.m. in the high school auditorium.

Kids can compete in a hay scramble east of the elementary store at 1:30 p.m.

An eight-person football game is planned for 2 p.m. northeast of the elementary school. Teams can register at alderferdale@gmail.com.

Goessel High School cheerleaders will do face painting at 2 p.m. east of the elementary school. Snacks and drinks will be for sale east of the elementary school from 2 to 4 p.m.

An alumni choir will perform at 5 p.m. in the high school auditorium. Rehearsals will be from 3 to 4:30 p.m.

Food trucks will be available outside the high school from 5 to 8 p.m.

Live music east of high school will begin at 6 p.m. Announcements will be made at 6:45 p.m.

A street dance with DJ Kevin Gaeddert will be at 7 p.m. On-the-spot dancing lessons and photo opportunities will be available.
