Auxiliary is looking for more help

St. Luke Hospital Auxiliary met Nov. 4 with 33 members in attendance.

Pharmacist Marlin Buchholz presented information about the benefits and dosages of over-the-counter vitamins including calcium, Omega 3 fish oil, and vitamin D.

There are 139 auxiliary members. Volunteer hours totaled 1,366 hours in October. St. Luke Hospital Auxiliary Thrift Shoppe continues to be successful and more volunteers are needed, specifically to work as cashiers.

Hospital chief executive officer Jeremy Armstrong reported the hospital ended the year Sept. 30 in the black by $86,000.

The auxiliary will receive the gold award again this year from the state auxiliary organization.

Hosts were Janice Case, Margaret Tice, and Eunice Christensen.

The next meeting will be Dec. 2.
