Marion will host two Babe Ruth district four tournaments in coming weeks. Games will be played at the sports complex.

Senior players will compete starting July 16 while 13-year-olds will begin July 23.

Teams from Chase County, Lyons, Marion, McPherson, and Moundridge will compete in the tournament for 13-year-olds.

Teams from Abilene, Hesston, Hillsboro, and Salina will compete in the senior tournament.

“This is the first tournament of the post season,” tournament organizer Casey Case said.

“We’re anticipating good attendance at the games since the towns the teams are from are close to Marion.”

The winner of the senior tournament will advance to a state tournament in Ottawa.

The winner of the 13-year-old tournament will advance to a state tournament in Independence.
