Bar fight leads to arrest

Chase and Marion County deputies and Marion police went to the home of a Marion man Sunday evening to arrest him on suspicion of aggravated battery and other offenses.

According to Chase County Sheriff Jacob Welsh, Michael Sigel, 52, 4 Fairway Dr., was wanted in relation to bar fight Friday night in Cottonwood Falls.

He is suspected of aggravated battery with intention to cause great bodily harm or disfigurement, interference with law enforcement by resisting arrest, and obstruction of arrest in a felony case.

The charges stem from a fight at Doghouse Saloon in Cottonwood Falls. A victim was taken by ambulance to Newman Regional Health hospital in Emporia, Welsh said.

Bond has not been set.
