Bernard Meysing
Bernard J. Meysing, 86, Ramona, died April 9 at Salina Regional Health Center, Salina.
Born May 26, 1923, in Marion County, to Joseph H. and Mary Margaret (Reznicek) Meysing, he graduated from Tampa High School and Tabor College.
On Nov. 7, 1953, he married Pauline Waner.
He was a farmer and involved in real estate development.
He served in the U.S. Navy 1943 through 1946. He was a member of Holy Family Parish.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline, of the home; a son, Michael, of Picton, Ontario, Canada; a daughter, Jean Hird of Herington; three brothers, Paul of Lincolnville, Leo of Portland, Ore., and Richard of Garden City; a sister, Patricia Waner of Sharon, Okla.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. today at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Tampa, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m., with the Rev. Hien Nguyen officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Tampa.
A memorial fund has been established with the American Cancer Society in care of Carlson-Becker Funeral Home, Hope.
