Bessie Bass

Bessie Ruth Bass, 96, died Thursday at Superior Good Samaritan Society in Superior, Neb.

She was born Oct. 22, 1916, on a farm near Marion to James and Anna (Hayen) Conyers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; a daughter, Annabelle Schwarz; a son, Douglas Bass; four sisters, Henrietta Richmond, Mabel Williams, Hazel Smith, and Bernice Sturdy; and five brothers, Harold, Frank, Willard, Glenn, and Clarence.

She is survived by a daughter, Carlita Price of Superior; a son, Robert H. Bass of Ft. Lupton, Colo.; one sister, Louise Grubb of Schreveport, La.; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Monday at Eastmoor United Methodist Church, Marion, with pastor Mike Eurit officiating. Visitation was Saturday in Superior and Monday before services at the church. Interment was in Claney Cemetery, Marion. A memorial fund has been established with Eastmoor United Methodist Church.
