Beverly Richmond

Beverly Nadine Richmond was born Dec. 29, 1937, and passed away July 23, 2011, at the age of 73.

A private family graveside service was held at Lincolnville Cemetery, led by Pastor Mike Eurit.

Beverly was the daughter of Roscoe and Doris (Jacobs) Czarnowsky. She had one sister, Barbara Riffel, and two brothers, Gary and Jay.

Beverly was united in marriage on Sept. 21, 1956, to Donald Richmond. This union was blessed with two daughters and two sons.

Beverly lived all her life caring for others. She worked many years as a nurse’s aide and a caregiver to her son, Rodney, who was confined to a wheelchair for 14 years. She also cared for her mother and brother. Three days before her death, she was saying it just wasn’t right that someone was taking care of her; she was supposed to be the one to take care of others. She accepted this as her lot in life and lovingly did so.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Gary. Her husband, Donald, died Sept. 5, 1975, leaving her with four young children to raise on her own. One daughter, Glenis Ann, passed away in infancy, and son Rodney died Oct. 8, 2002.

Survivors are Pamela Hett and husband Glen of Marion; sons Jeff Richmond of Peabody and Mike Richmond of Marion; a brother, Jay Czarnowsky of Lincolnville; a sister, Barbara Riffel of Las Vegas, Nev.; nine grandchildren; and five-great-grandchildren.
