Amara Michelle Sampamurthy

Krishna and Christen Sampamurthy of Wichita announce the birth of a daughter, Amara Michelle Sampamurthy, 5:31 p.m. Jan. 12, 2009, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center-St. Joseph Campus, Wichita.

She weighed 6 pounds 12 ounces and was 18¾ inches long.

Grandparents are Merle and Michelle Flaming of McPherson, Jerry and Margie Tajchman of Marion, and Mr. and Mrs. Sampamurthy of Malaysia.
