Bob Vajnar

Graveside services for Robert J. “Bob” Vajnar, 83, who died Jan. 25 at Peabody Health and Rehab, will be noon Saturday at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Tampa.

Born June 29, 1941, in Hillsboro to Joe and Edna Vajnar, he was baptized as an infant and confirmed May 22, 1955, at St. John’s Lutheran Church.

He graduated in 1959 from Tampa High School, where he played basketball.

His parents and brother, Warren Vajnar, preceded him in death. Survivors include niece Cheryl Vajnar of Mission Hills, California, and nephew Monte Vajnar of Sylmar, California.

A memorial has been established with the church.
