Carol Laue welcomed 25 family members to the 60th annual Bredemeier potluck dinner Sunday at the Marion City Building. Ken Nienstedt offered the blessing.

Laue conducted a short business meeting. Betty Sanders read the minutes of last year’s reunion.

Gabriela Nienstedt, the youngest family member present, and Bobbie Harris, the oldest, share the same Oct. 20 birthday. Two family members passed away in the past year: Clara Bredemeier and Dorothy Rindt. Sue and Dennis Navrat traveled the farthest, coming from Vermillion, S.D.

Those attending from out of town were Buck and Joyce Sanguin, Rodney Summervill, John and Barbara Summervill, Dennis and Sue Navrat, Myron and Bobbie Harris, and Joyce and Gary Mott.

Those attending from Marion were Gene and Doris Winkler; Theron, Alicia, Jeremiah, and Gabriela Nienstedt; Harvey and Betty Sanders; Mick and Marge Summervill; Ken and Margie Nienstedt; Laue; and Bruce Winkler.

Officers elected for the coming year are Laue, president; Kris Page, vice president; and Rodney Summervill, secretary/treasurer.

The 61st reunion will be Sept. 28, 2014, at the Marion County Lake Hall.
